DIGITAL CROWNS

Crowns are often given to restore lost tooth structure as well restore the aesthetics of a tooth, so that it may continue to serve its function of chewing and continues to look good and natural.
The process involves taking some measurements followed by fitting of the crown in the mouth. This is usually completed in two visits.

SONIA RISHI

Sonia visited our clinic complaining of pain and extreme discomfort while eating. Being a foodie and especially enjoying non-veg food, this was bothering her even at an emotional level. On examining her, we found she had some broken-down wisdom teeth that were contributing to her pain; as well as gaps between her existing crowns which led to food getting trapped between the teeth causing pain and discomfort in her gums every time she ate. In addition to this she also had some cavities.
All these issues were discussed with her and a treatment plan was formulated. Broken wisdom teeth were gently removed, following which cavities were filled and faulty crowns replaced with new metal free digital crowns.
She now is absolutely comfortable and enjoys her meals, especially non-veg.

Neeraj lives in USA and was visiting Pune only for a few weeks during Christmas break. He had a slightly broken tooth which was previously treated with a root canal. Using digital technology, we were able to manufacture an onlay (a half crown) which allowed us to preserve most of his natural tooth structure, yet give him the strength of a crown on his tooth giving it a long life. All this was easily completed within the limited time available before his departure.
