What is Botox®? How does it work?

It is an FDA-approved treatment to temporarily reduce moderate to severe frown lines, crow’s feet and forehead lines in adults. These lines are usually caused due to the repeated muscle contractions from frowning, squinting, smiling and raising the eyebrows over the years. Hence your specialist will inject these muscles with Botox® to temporarily reduce muscle activity. You will then notice a visible smoothing of the frown lines between your brows, your crow’s feet and your forehead lines. Nearly 90% of patients who received Botox® treatment for upper facial lines reported looking an average of 7 years younger.

How long does the treatment take and when will I start seeing the results?

The treatment takes a quick 10 minutes only and you may notice results within 4 to 5 days, with results lasting up to 3-4 months.

Does the treatment hurt?

No, it’s not painful but you may feel a pinch or prick. Moreover, we apply a topically numbing cream which further reduces any pain or discomfort during the treatment.

What are dermal fillers?

Dermal fillers are gels that are inserted to smoothen out wrinkles and improve volume and contouring of certain areas. These substances are not permanent.

Which areas can they be used for?

As we age we lose the volume and contour of our face thus giving a sagging appearance. Dermal fillers are used in such areas to give a more wrinkle free look. Some of these areas can be your lips, chins, forehead, cheeks etc.

How soon will I see the result and for how long will they last?

Results are seen instantly after the treatment and improves gradually over 2 -3 weeks. They last for 9 to 12 months though good results can be maintained over a period of time with regular repeated treatments.

Are they safe?

Yes. We only use those products which are proven to be safe. They are extensively
researched and have been used in treatments worldwide.
